The Sheriff’s Office includes 7 full-time Deputies, 1 part time Deputy, 1 Investigator, Chief Deputy and the Sheriff. The Deputies perform various duties that include, patrol, transports, courtroom security, warrant service, and civil process service. On the Jail there is 12 full-time and 5 part-time Corrections Officers, 5 Sergeants, Program Coordinator, Assistant Jail Administrator, and Jail Administrator. The Office also staffs 4 clerical/records employees and a Dispatch Center with 5 full-time, and 3 part-time 911 Emergency Dispatchers, and a full-time Dispatch Supervisor/TAC Officer.
The Pennington County Sheriff's Dispatch Center is the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for Pennington County. It's responsible for dispatching all incoming 911 calls as well as non-emergency calls for all Emergency Services for all cities and the townships within the county.
Pennington County Dispatch Center provides radio-dispatching services for the Sheriff's Office as well as the Thief River Falls Police Department, Thief River Falls Ambulance, and the county's 3 fire departments. We also assist and communicate with Minnesota State Patrol. Our center is staffed twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
