The Pennington County Sheriff's Office will be resuming some of the services that were suspended due to health concerns raised from the  COVID-19 virus.  

Public Fingerprinting- The Pennington County Correction Center will resume public fingerprinting starting June 2nd, 2020. Fingerprinting will be done by appointment only and face masks must be worn, To schedule an appointment for fingerprinting, please call 218-416-7097.

The cost to the public is $15.00/card. Payment of cash or check can be accepted.
We offer fingerprinting on: 
Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 7:30am to 9:00am
Tuesday & Friday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Inmate Visitation-- Visitation restrictions will remain in place at this time. Those wishing to visit an offender may do so by going to or through the lobby kiosks. Money can deposited on inmate accounts via the website as well. When visiting in the lobby, we ask that you practice social distancing and consider visiting in small numbers, not to exceed 1 to 2 people. A disinfectant agent has also been made available. Please do your part and wipe the machine down prior to use and again after use. Phone service is provided by Reliance. For more information go to
Civil Process Service - The Pennington County Sheriff's Office will resume Civil Process Service, starting June 8th, 2020.

I, Tim Walz, Governor of the State of Minnesota, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and applicable statutes, issue the following Executive Order: ....
Beginning on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 11:59 pm through Sunday, May 03, 2020 at 11:59 pm, all persons currently living within the State of Minnesota are ordered to stay at home or in their place of residence except to engage in the Activities and 3 Critical Sector work set forth below in Paragraphs 5 and 6. Executive Order 20-20 is rescinded as of April 8, 2020 at 11:59 pm. 2. For purposes of this Executive Order, homes or residences include hotels, motels, shared rental units, shelters, and similar facilities, to the extent they are used for lodging. 3. This Executive Order does not restrict virtual work or telework (i.e. work from home). Minnesotans working in any field, including the Critical Sectors set forth below, are encouraged to work from their home or residence as much as possible....

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. – The Thief River Falls Lincoln High School "Key Club" was honored by Minnesota Toward Zero Deaths for their work to save lives through improved traffic safety. The awards were announced at the statewide TZD conference Oct. 23-24 in St. Cloud.
